In an atmosphere filled with warmth and enthusiasm, the School of Law at the University of Jordan welcomed its newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic year during an orientation event held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

The meeting was inaugurated by Prof. Basem Melhem, Dean of the School , who extended his congratulations to the new students and expressed his pride in their joining one of the leading academic institutions in the region. He highlighted the School 's long-standing legacy in graduating generations of legal professionals who have played a key role in advancing justice and serving the nation.

Prof. Melhem encouraged the students to demonstrate initiative, diligence, and creativity throughout their studies, and to engage actively in the School 's extracurricular programs, including moot court competitions and legal clinics, which play a vital role in enhancing legal reasoning and practical skills.

The event was attended by Dr. Saad Abu Al-Ghanem, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies; Dr. Ahmad Quba'a, Vice Dean for Quality Assurance and Accreditation and Head of the Department of Public Law; Dr. Qusay Al-Shahwan, Assistant Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs; and Dr. Mashaal Al-Madi, who collectively emphasized the importance of academic integrity, discipline, and engagement in university life.

During the session, the main university regulations governing student affairs—such as the Bachelor's Degree Award Instructions and the Student Disciplinary Code—were reviewed to ensure that students begin their academic journey with a clear understanding of their rights and responsibilities.

The orientation concluded with an open discussion that allowed students to raise questions and share their thoughts, followed by a group photo in front of the School  building to commemorate the occasion.
