The School of Law at the University of Jordan places great importance on training and scientific research as two fundamental pillars for the development of the educational process and the enhancement of the academic and professional quality of its outcomes. In this context, the research interests of the School’s academic staff are diverse and encompass a wide range of topics and studies related to Jordanian legislation, as well as issues of intellectual property, international humanitarian law, consumer protection, and environmental law. This diversity contributes to enriching legal knowledge and keeping pace with legislative and judicial developments at both the national and international levels.

The School is also keen to link scientific research with practical application through the Legal Clinic, which provides students with the opportunity for field training in the provision of legal consultations under specialized academic supervision, and enhances their practical skills and sense of social responsibility. In addition, the School regularly hosts experts and specialists, including judges, lawyers, and professionals from various legal fields, to deliver lectures and workshops, thereby facilitating the transfer of practical expertise to students and bridging the gap between theory and professional practice. Furthermore, the School organizes field visits to courts, official institutions, and bodies related to legal practice, with the aim of familiarizing students with real working environments and deepening their understanding of the practical application of legislation.

This integration between scientific research and practical training reflects the School’s commitment to preparing well-rounded legal graduates who are academically and professionally qualified to meet labor market requirements and serve the community, in line with the University’s mission and strategic objectives.
