-According to the Regulations for Granting the Master's Degree at the University of Jordan, Article (3):
The requirements for obtaining a Master's degree consist of 33 credit hours, in accordance with the study plan approved by the Deans' Council. The Council may approve an increase of up to 9 additional credit hours.
The clause states the following:
Second: For students in the Humanities Faculties:
The student must publish at least one research paper related to their specialization in a journal indexed in Scopus or WoS-JCR, or a research paper published or accepted for publication in a national journal accredited by the Scientific Research Fund, or in the Dirasat journals issued by the University of Jordan, prior to the thesis defense.
Third: In all cases, the research must meet the following conditions:
- The student must be the principal author or the corresponding author.
- The student's primary affiliation must be the University of Jordan.
- The research must not have been published or accepted for publication prior to the student's admission into the program.
- For research published in Scopus or WoS-JCR, it must be published and indexed in either of these databases before the thesis defense date.
