- According to the Regulations for Granting the Doctoral Degree at the University of Jordan, Article (3):
The requirements for obtaining a Doctoral Degree consist of 54 credit hours, in accordance with the study plan approved by the Deans' Council, as stated in the following clause:
Second: For students in the Humanities Faculties:
The student must publish at least one research paper related to the topic of their dissertation in a classified journal (Q1, Q2, Q3, or Q4) indexed in Scopus or WoS-JCR, or publish two research papers derived from their dissertation that are published or accepted for publication in a national journal accredited by the Scientific Research Fund or in the Dirasat journals issued by the University of Jordan, prior to the dissertation defense.
Third: In all cases, the research must meet the following conditions:
- The student must be the principal author.
- The student's primary affiliation must be the University of Jordan.
- The research must not have been published or accepted for publication prior to the student's admission into the program.
- For research published in Scopus or WoS-JCR, it must be published and indexed in either of these databases before the dissertation defense date.
