Conference Discusses Paris Climate Agreement

Scientists, experts and academics stressed the need to confront global warming as a major threat to the Earth's climate and ecosystem.

 

This came during the opening of the international conference on "Paris agreement between National Legislation and sustainable development", organized at the School of Law at the University of Jordan (UJ).

 

The conference was opened by HRH Princess Basma Bint Ali, and aims as discussing the terms of the Paris climate agreement signed with the U.N. in April 2016.

 

The event also seeks to raise awareness of the importance of Paris agreement and measures need to be taken to reduce the effects of global warming.

 
The three-day Conference is organized by the School in collaboration with Al Khataibeh Center for Training; Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance at Cambridge University; the  international sustainable development law, based at McGill University, Canada; and University Hassan I, Morocco.​
