Meeting of President with Faculty Members in law and Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II School of International Studies

 

This Thursday 3/11/2016 morning his Excellency Prof. Azmi Mahafzah, president of the University, together with vice president for social sciences faculties, visited the Faculty of Law to meet the faculty members in both the Law School and Prince Hussein School for International Studies. The president was welcomed by Prof. Fayyad Alquddah Dean of the Faculty of Law, his assistants, heads of departments and Prof. Abullah Naqrash dean of Prince Hussein Faculty. Following a short welcome and introductory comment by Dean Alquddah, the president presented to the faculty about the university, the financial standing in particular; he also discussed current and future plans to overcome a number of fiscal shortcomings. In addition, the president recognized the Law School’s need to raise the necessary funds to finance a new building suitable for its needs and developmental aspirations and the school’s pressing need to attract new faculty members.
His Excellency then addressed all questions raised by members of both schools, which covered a scale of topics such as fostering investment and revenue generation, enhancing academic activities in both schools and making necessary fund available, the legislative environment in the university, and the teaching process and many associated issues in general.
           At the conclusion of the meeting, Dean Alquddah thanked the president for his kind visit and devoting his precious time to listen and engage faculty in both school in productive discussions.
