Title
Cooperation between the Upper House and the Faculty of Law – University of Jordan
Body
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed by HE Mr. Taher Al-Masri, Head of the Upper House, and Dr. Tariq Hammouri, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Jordan.
The MoU aims to enhance the cooperation between the Faculty and the Upper House. The aspects of cooperation include consulting academic staff members at the Faculty of Law in the Bills submitted to the Upper House of Parliament. It also allows the students of the Faculty to attend the public sessions of the Upper House. In addition, students of the Faculty have volunteered to conduct legal research in subjects related to the Bills introduced to the Upper House.
According to Dr. Hammuori, this MoU seeks to link the Faculty students with the legislative bodies in Jordan as part of the students’ practical training program initiated by the Faculty, in addition to improving the legislative outcomes of the Upper House.
