An Initiative for School of Law Students Titled as "Theory Versus Practice"

Based on the initiative "Theory Versus Practice", the University of Jordan’s Faculty of Law has organized a second visit to the Jordanian Parliament.
 
The students were taken to the visitors’ hall inside the Parliament to be able to see the session. After the quorum was completed, the students were welcomed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Atif Tarawneh, then the session was inaugurated.

     During the session, a number of topics were discussed, including the social solidarity fund and Judiciary Independence Law.
 
The students were able to view the mechanism of voting and expressing opinions during the session and how MPs approve and reject the topics. After that the students were received by MP Dr. Mustafa Khasawna, former chairman of the Legal Committee, who provided a summary of the work of the Lower House and the mechanism of holding its meetings. After that Dr. Khasawna has reopened to students’ questions and queries.
